Coinciding with the Year of Arabic
Poetry 2023, ALTAWKILAT Premium, the exclusive dealer of Hongqi brand in Saudi
Arabia, launched “ Hongqi Arabic Poetry Contest” and announced its grand prize which is a Luxury
Hongqi Ousado 2023 to be granted to the writer of the best poem. The move aims
at supporting the efforts made by Ministry of Culture of the Kingdom of Saudi
Arabia to highlight the deeply-rooted heritage of poetry in the Arabian history
as well as boosting the position of Arabic Poetry in the individual’s culture .
Speaking on this occasion, Mr. Jason Blane,
General Manager of Hongqi at ALTAWKILAT Premium, said “ the launching of Hongqi
Arabic Poetry Contest is a part of our keenness to support the activities and
social responsibility initiatives in the Kingdom, as well as encouraging local
talents and highlighting the power and beauty of Arabic poetry that is
deeply-rooted in the Saudi culture . It also aims at fulfilling the goals of
Vision 2030 and emphasizing the position of Saudi Arabia as a supporter and
sponsor of Arab culture”.
Talking about the nature and conditions of the
contest, Mr Blane pointed out that in order to win the prize and be given the
title “ Hongqi Poet” , the candidate must be a follower of Hongqi KSA homepage
, invite three friends to make comments on the contest, and include the phrase
“The beauty of the east” in his/her participating poem that describes Hongqi
car.
Mr
Blane noted that the deadline for submitting poems is 25 September, 2023 and
poems will be evaluated by a panel of three judges under the supervision of
Saudi Arabian Association for Arts and Culture in Jeddah. The writer of the
best poem describing “The Beauty of the East” will be granted the grand prize
which is a luxury Hongqi Ousado 2023.
